Cierra los ojos...
Ayako Ishikawa met with Masamichi Shibasaki (Butoh artist), who loves folk dance all over the world, and Masamichi presented Japanese traditional folk song "Minyo", which is oral literature same as Flamenco. The first song that they listened to a song of Haru Kobayashi, she was a Minyo singer impaired vision.
All member impressed very much and teared when they listened to her voice even if they cannot understand the words.
Flamenco is one of the oral literatures and there were many talented singers impaired vision. So, Ayako thought there are several common points between Flamenco and Japanese Minyo and impressed the power of art and music.
Masamichi and Ayako started looking for a right minyo singer and they found a young Minyo singer, Akimi Fukushi, who also impressed the voice of Haru Kobayashi and went to see Haru.
Then they started working together to make their special work "Cierra los ojos..."
Don't matter the differences of culture and language. The traditional folk artists, (Flamenco and Minyo) could understand each other through the music and dance.
"Cierra los ojos... "（Close your eyes...) is not simple fusion. Flamenco artists act their traditional things and Minyo artists sings their songs and Butoh artist express his traditional dance.
They are different but they have the common nucleus.
Must see this show. No need logic nor brain just feel it.

AKIMI FUKUSHI Minyo Singer
She was borned in Tsuagru (Aomori) Her parents are one of the famous and important Tsuagru Minyo artists. Her further was a director of the Association of Tsugaru Minyo and he contributed in inheriting the traditional Tsugal folk work.
She started singing Tsugaru Minyo 8 years old and won the championship as young singer of Tsugaru Jongara-bushi. After that she selected as the best young Tsugaru Minyo singer in many contests.
Her transparent voice is very unique and a hopful Tsugaru Minyo singer.
KAZUYUKI YABUKI Shamisen / Shakuhachi
He became a disciple of well-known Minyo family "Nakamura" and studied Shamisen under the tutorship of Takashi Nakamura, the second president of Nakamura Minyo Family.
He won the championship three times of the national competition of Tsugarushamisen.
Now he plays an active part in traditional theaters, TV programs, and he is popularizing Tsugaruminyo throughout young generation.

1 【タンゴ】
フラメンコの中でも明るめで軽快な感じの曲です。スペインアンダルシア地方のそれぞれの地域ごとにそれぞれのタンゴが発展していますが、なかでも最もタンゴが盛んなのがグラナダであると言われています。
2 【アレグリアス】
軽快なテンポの長調の曲で、アンダルシアの港町、カディスで最も発展した曲目です。
3 【シギリージャ】
鍛冶屋を生業とすることが多かったロマ族が、金床で鉄を打ちながら唄った、フラメンコの源流の唄の一つであるマルティネーテ。重厚で悲しみを唄ったものが多い、そんなマルティネーテにギター伴奏がつき、詩が発展していったのがシギリージャです。

フラメンコ、民謡、舞踏のアーティストをつなげた瞽女小林ハルさんの唄声。
暗闇の中で人は何を感じることができるのだろうか… 。
2 【DOS VOCES ドス・ボセス 2つの声】
フラメンコ、民謡、舞踏のアーティストがそれぞれの源流への郷愁を呼び寄せ、回帰する。

4 【Dos identidades ふたつのアイデンティティー】
フラメンコと民謡。異なるふたつのアイデンティティーが競演することで、共鳴し、創造の果実が実を結ぶ。
